Comprehensive Intake

Your First Step to Better Sleep

Struggling with sleep issues can be frustrating, but identifying the root cause is essential to finding an effective solution. The Comprehensive Intake Assessment is designed to thoroughly evaluate your sleep concerns, determine an accurate diagnosis, and outline the best treatment options for your specific needs.

What to Expect During Your Intake Assessment
During your initial 60–90 minute session with Dr. Ashley Wilk, we will:

1. Discuss Your Sleep History – Explore your sleep patterns, habits, bedtime routine, and any past treatments.

2. Identify Potential Sleep Disorders – Assess whether you meet criteria for conditions such as insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, nightmare disorders, parasomnias, or if there are symptoms of sleep disorders like Restless Leg Syndrome or Obstructive Sleep Apnea that would require a medical referral to assess and diagnosis.

3. Review Your Daily Habits & Health History – Examine lifestyles factors, mental health disorders, and medical history that may impact your sleep.

4. Provide Personalized Treatment Recommendations – At the end of the session, Dr. Wilk will explain your diagnosis (if applicable) and discuss treatment recommendations tailored to your needs.

Why Choose My Comprehensive Intake Assessment?
✔ Diagnosis – Get an accurate understanding of your sleep diagnosis from a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in sleep disorders.
✔ Personalized Treatment Plan – Receive treatment recommendations with evidenced-based treatments that are also customized for your needs.
✔ Convenient Online Sessions – Get professional care from the comfort of your home, eliminating the need for in-person visits.

Do I Need a Medical Sleep Study? While many sleep issues can be treated through behavioral therapy, some conditions—such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) or other medical sleep disorders—require further evaluation. If a medical assessment is necessary, Dr. Wilk will refer you to a sleep clinic for a professional sleep study (polysomnography or home sleep test).
